Hmm. Tough question, or should I say strange question? The topic is a question, and there you go, another question from me questioning your question. Anyway, let me not judge a book by its cover because the last time I did it (last week), it was crazy. I saw a street performer in a video and instantly thought that he couldn’t sing, but boy, he burst my brain with a mad melody.
I shouldn’t be answering your question in this section, but let me do a giveaway today. Hence, No, you won’t find a Casino on Disney Cruises as you’d on cruise lines such as Carnival. On a Disney Cruise, you won’t find a casino with that hot waitress moving around with a tray, slots ringing, a random guy feeding his money into the slot machine as if his life depended on it, or a group of guys chattering around blackjack and other game tables.
I don’t know if you want the children on the cruise to return home traumatized (mildly) by everything there or from losing their pocket money. Instead of casinos, Disney ships offer a variety of travel experiences, including pa…
No, that was close, I am not giving away everything yet. If you want to see the whole thing, keep reading. Or not, totally your call. Wanna cruise?
No worries about the question. It’s a good one, even though I belittled it before! I get why you might think there’d be a casino on a Disney Cruise. After all, casinos are pretty standard on other cruise lines such as Carnival I previously mentioned. Norwegian and Royal Caribbean are more. They’ve got all the games — roulette, slots, poker, blackjack — you name it.
Owing to that, when adults hop on a Disney Cruise or plan to, they assume that Disney Cruises would have a casino, too.
Lots of adults see casinos as a big part of the cruise experience. You know, they’re basically the perfect spot to unwind, socialise with fresh faces, and if you’re lucky, win some sweet cash prizes.
They forget that the name “Disney” is that of a company that mostly makes cartoons and should have a family-friendly vibe. I mean, did you ever watch “The Little Mermaid” from 1989? Or did you forget to? That’s classic Disney!
Hmm, I’ll admit, casinos do have a certain atmosphere — the lights, the sounds, the buzz. It’s something people might link with cruising. Nevertheless, on a Disney Cruise, the link is not there. The ship has its own kind of magic.
Going further on that family-friendly vibe, Disney’s always been about entertaining and motivating peeps all over the world with top-notch storytelling. Even as cultures have evolved, Disney has stuck to its guns, focusing on family-friendly fun, including on its Cruise Line. They’ve got plenty of space on their ships for everyone to make memories and celebrate — all in a family-friendly way, of course.
Disney gave a big THUMBS-DOWN to including any gambling in their org. They want to shield their brand image and keep the trust of their main audience — families and kids. Sort of reasonable, uhm…? I don’t want to get on Merida’s bad side by saying too much. You remember her, right? The fiery redhead from Disney’s 2012 movie, “Brave”? She is going to fire an arrow at me :).
Someone is changing how they see Disney Cruises! This Disney Cruise Line (DCL) thing has surely gotten more interesting. You want to get the full map of all the offers.
Alright, they’ve got a bunch of cool stuff for kids — dining, deck parties, recreation, movies, shopping (especially Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the Disney Fantasy, haha). And that’s just the start.
They’ve also got Broadway-style musicals, live performances, themed nights, character meet and greets, and other activities. No matter how old you are, there’s always something tailored just for you.
And let’s not forget about BINGO! It’s a fun, family-friendly game that’s a big hit on Disney Cruises. Players aim to match the numbers drawn at random to the ones printed on their cards.
Whoever’s the first to get a particular pattern, such as a straight line, with their marked numbers, yells out “Bingo!” and takes home the win. Who knows, you might even enjoy it!
As a grown-up, don’t worry; this is your part. Disney Cruise Line has plenty for you, too! You get access to ultra-modern fitness centers, chic nightclubs, and lounges. They’ve also got luxurious spa and salon services, as well as the secluded Quiet Cove Pool. Now, I think you are becoming more likely to hop on a Disney Cruise at the next opportunity.
As there is no casino on a Disney Cruise, hey, that means more room for all the fun family stuff. A more chilled-out vibe. Do you know how tense it can get in a casino when things are not going well at the slot or with your blackjack hand, and you’ve bet your rent money? Yeah, you won’t find that on a Disney Cruise. You came to relax, not to get red eyes. As we discussed before, Disney Cruises has loads of other cool things to do that make for some great times with your fellow passengers.
Time to turn up the volume on what the crowd has to say. Out of the many voices, these four comments sounded musical to my ears.
Thomson88 had a “Fabulous Disney Experience Down Under” and was totally over the moon. kctraveler pointed out that “Not a cruise for adults only”, maybe they are among the people that forgot about the “Disney” beside the “Cruise Line”. PancakeTime (I bet they love a good pancake breakfast) said it was “Incredible for this first-time family.” And hallelujahcruiser was raving about the “SPECTACULAR PRODUCTION SHOWS”. They all cruised this past February.
Every now and then, it’s good to step away from the crowd and do your own thing positively, though, just as DCL. All work and no play…? Makes Jack a dull boy. You cannot be spinning wheels or holding cards all the time. Sometimes, you need to let loose and enjoy life. Even computers need downtime for maintenance. So, for your own “downtime,” how about a Disney Cruise for your next holiday? Once you’re back, you can get back scratching your head. Deal?
