You wouldn’t think that Wales would be a ‘top’ destination for casinos, but it is. While Wales won’t boast casinos that have the glitz and glamour of something that you could find in Las Vegas, they have a surprisingly good number of casinos where you can spend the hours away having a bit of a flutter.
We’ll look at the best of them, although do bear in mind that Wales is a very small country. There aren’t many huge casinos here. Other than a few of them, most are just game rooms with a few fruit machines, but we’re sure you know that already. Still, since most people love playing the slots, it’ll probably be fine for most of you.
Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff is one of two from the company in Wales, and the Cardiff location is the largest. Open from midday to 6am every single day, a step inside Grosvenor Casino, Cardiff will introduce you to roulette, blackjack, and poker tables.
You also have tons of slot machines and sports betting, and you can even have a good meal at the restaurant there (and we mean a good meal). Because it is the largest casino in Wales, it is always a hotbed of activity, even as you head into the early hours of the morning, so a trip to Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff may be a great way to round off the night.

To be honest with you, Grosvenor Casino in Swansea isn’t all that different from the Cardiff offering. Yes, it is a slightly smaller casino, but not by much. You still have exactly the same things to do once you step within the four walls, so roulette, blackjack, poker, and slots.
The only major difference is that it closes at 4am rather than 6am but, let’s be honest, for most people this wouldn’t be too much of an issue.
As with all casinos under the Grosvenor Casino brand, this place is more than a casino; it is a venue. This means that you can do plenty of stuff without even gambling there, which we think is pretty awesome!

Les Croupiers Casino in Cardiff is the second-largest casino in the city and one of the largest in the UK. While it doesn’t look like much from the outside (it is basically located within a shopping center), the inside of Les Croupiers Casino is amazing.
The highlight being poker and roulette, but there is so much to do in this buzzin’ casino. It is an especially great place to head if you are into poker since Les Croupiers Casino offers the biggest poker room in the UK.
Les Croupiers Casino is so much more than just being a casino too. It is often a meeting place for the residents of Cardiff (and those that visit), thanks to the awesome sports bar, which is often heaving after Cardiff play a home match.
If you’re in Cardiff, then checking out both Les Croupiers Casino and Grosvenor Casino is an absolute must.

As we said - many of the major places to gamble in Wales are not fully-fledged casinos, and this is due to licensing restrictions (it is insanely expensive to start a physical casino), but they are bingo halls with a bit of gambling going on. Apollo in Rhyll is one of them.
Rhyll is a sleepy seaside town that is bustling when the warm summer weather starts to hit Wales. Apollo is a top bingo hall, which not only offers bingo (and those games are almost always packed), but also offers tons and tons of slot machines from top slot manufacturers, and you’ll find people gambling away all day here.
We genuinely believe Apollo is one of the best casinos in Wales, despite only offering slot machines because it is such a great place to be inside. We love it when the places that we gamble are incredibly ‘jovial,’ and you’ll always get that at Apollo. It is a must-visit.

This is one of the best places to head if you’re planning on playing a few slot machines. Admiral Slots in Wrexham is packed to the brim with slot machines, and you can even dabble in a bit of online gambling here, too (although that is limited).
Admiral Slots is the type of place you would stumble across on a night out when you want to spend a few hours (hopefully) winning a bit of cash. There are more slot machines at Admiral Slots than some of the other casinos on this list, and some quality ones, too. There is something for everybody.
You’ll find a lot of people hanging around Admiral Slots, so check it out if you fancy a bit more of a social experience, too.

Finally - we’ve got another bingo hall, this time in Tonypandy. The main attraction of Judges Bingo is the bingo hall part, with multiple games firing off throughout the day. However, it is still worth a visit purely for the gambling opportunities.
There are a ton of slot machines making their presence known here, and you can easily spend hours gambling at the regularly updated machines, as dozens and dozens of people do each day. This is why it is one of the top casinos in Wales.
